Famous defector from One Direction and now bona fide solo musician, Zayn Malik, has sold his New York City penthouse for a whopping $15.9 million, after just a year of living in it.
Purchasing the apartment in March of 2018 for $13.8 million — just following his split from Gigi Hadid — the singer has now made a pretty profit on the bachelor pad, which boasts four bedrooms and four bathrooms — and is just a 12-minute drive from his ex-girlfriend’s house in NoHo.
According to reports, Malik purchased the house when the pair were still together, but moved in on the day the duo announced their split on social media. He has reportedly lived in the massive 3,597-square-foot apartment alone ever since. And while reports of the on-and-off again couple getting back together are all too common, it looks as if Malik might be downsizing — or at least erasing all homely memories of his relationship with the supermodel.

A former silk manufacturing warehouse, the space was renovated with all the modernities a rock star could want, including high ceilings (perfect for vocal acoustics) and multiple living spaces for entertaining.
The near-brand-new apartment, which remained un-lived in since it was renovated in 2016 prior to Malik’s purchase, even features a terrace and two floors — because Malik no doubt knows there’s no point in a penthouse unless it’s the size of a standalone suburban home.
Oozing with industrial charm, the space is the ideal single man pad, but might be a little big to live in all alone.
Complete with modern bathrooms and a super light kitchen, the space has been decorated to reflect Malik’s easygoing style, but with enough blank canvases to make sure the new owners put their own touch, too.
