Hermès is one of the most luxurious fashion houses in the world and so addicts of the brand can find themselves falling in love with each and every piece their incredible creative team conjures up. Of course, there’s the classic Hermès Birkin bag, adored the world over for its craftsmanship; or the Hermès blanket, a piece seen draped over the couches of only the chicest of homes. But now, Hermès lovers can extend their collection to include a Hermès fishing rod, for a cool $13,790.
As part of its range of special objects, for only the most die-hard of Hermès fans, the brand has released one very stylish fishing rod (pictured above). Crafted from flax fibre, sycamore and leather, and made by Hermès craftsmen in France, this fishing rod is all you need to look fly by the water come summer. (Yes, it’s designed for fly fishing. Get it?).
For those who call fishing a passion, the rod is 2.5 metres in length and is made of three flax fibre strands, as per traditional methods. The handle is crafted from sycamore wood and full grain leather, with a saddle nail on the butt cap. For $13,790, this is all topped off with a rooster feather, because why not?

Hermès has also created a special creel for its fishing clients, which is basically a basket traditionally used to carry fish. Made of wicker, it features a lid comprised of Swift calfskin and a woolly strap, and will set you back $17,420. The creel also comes with two straps in contrasting colours, meaning the height can be adjusted over the shoulder or as a cross-body option.
