WWE’s The Bump Recap – The Shaman of Sexy is Back!

WWE’s The Bump airs every Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM ET. Below is a full recap of the December 11, 2019 episode, which you can check out in full above.

— Kayla Braxton is in the house, which means we’re officially live from WWE HQ! We’ve got the highly anticipated return of John Morrison, who will be joining today’s panel live in-studio.

— The Bump is giving away tickets to WrestleMania 36! There will apparently be secret WrestleMania easter eggs hidden around the set over the next few weeks. Stay tuned for more info, but keep your eyes peeled.

— The panel puts over Keith Lee and someone even calls him the “biggest commodity in WWE today”. They show all his recent high spots, previewing tonight’s NXT main event between Keith Lee, Finn Balor and Tommaso Ciampa.

John Morrison Returns!

This ain’t no make believe! John Morrison is in the house! Within the first 30 seconds of him being back on WWE cameras, he made a “whip and nae nae” reference, and a Zoolander “I can only go left” reference. They roll footage of his Tough Enough win back in the day, where he looks about 13-years-old by comparison.

The panel actually talks about how he’s been champion in Lucha Underground, Impact and all around the indies for the last 8 years, and Morrison jokes about wrestling more than The Miz even though he was in WWE all this time. He said he always meant to return to WWE, but he just kept getting more and more busy, and suddenly it’s 8 years later.

Morrison says fans will be surprised if they haven’t seen him since his last WWE run. Says he’s “leveled up” his skillset, and talks about doing movies, and designing action pieces for various projects and how that’s helped him understand movement, and how to implement that all into being a pro-wrestler.

Wrestling legend Al Snow, who actually originally trained John, sends in a video message and says he’s very proud of Morrison and what he’s been able to accomplish, and is so happy to see him back in WWE. Calls him a future Hall of Famer if he’s able to keep going down his current path.

The Miz Calls In

That’s not the only surprise… The Miz is here via satellite! He talks about their history together and hopes that Morrison ends up on Friday Night Smackdown so they can pick up where they left off. Morrison wants to do more episodes of the Dirt Sheet! They talk about how all the drives they did together would fly by because they would spend all their time coming up with ideas for that show.

Morrison put over Miz big time: “I feel like a lot of people are surprised at how successful Miz has been. The key to success is ‘be yourself with the volume turned up.’ This guy never had to turn the volume up. He’s always himself.”

— BREAKING NEWS: Miz & Mrs. Season 2 is coming and will debut on January 29, 2020 immediately following the episode of WWE NXT after the Royal Rumble. So we’re moving to Wednesday nights on the USA Network!

Morrison says he’d love to wrestle Shinsuke Nakamura, but calls Seth Rollins a Build-a-Bear Superstar, a collection of different people. He says all the greats claimed to be the best, but Seth actually believes his own hype and has been drinking too much of his own Kool-Aid.

Lio Rush Calls In

The WWE Cruiserweight Champion is here via satellite. He’s not happy about Garza attacking him recently and takes a shot at him being a real man.”I used to be Garza”. Rush says he used to be flashy and that obnoxious showman, but he learned when to turn it off. Garza took it outside of the ring and made it about his wife and kids, who he claims were “traumatized” – now it’s personal.

Morrison says they’ve crossed path at WrestleCircus and a few other places, but they’ve never wrestled before and he’d love to make a match with Rush happen.
