Three elephants were killed after a herd of jumbos was hit by a speeding truck.
The incident happened on the National Highway 20 under Ghatagaon Forest Range in Keonjhar district on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.

The herd of some ten elephants was crossing the road when the mishap took place. The heard had entered a nearby village the previous day and was on the way back to the forest.
