Former WWE performers Russ McCullough, Matt Wiese (Luther Reigns) and Ryan Sakoda (Keiji Sakoda) have filed largely identical lawsuits as the already publicizied lawsuits from former wrestlers such as Billy Jack Haynes, Vito LoGrasso and the widow of Nelson Frazier (Viscera).
The suit was filed yesterday in U.S. District Court in the Central District of California. McCullough, Wiese and Sakoda are all currently residents of California.
McCullough worked largely in WWE’s developmental system from 1999 to 2001. Wiese, who worked as Horshu in WCW, was with WWE in 2004 and 2005, both in OVW and as part of the main roster. Sakoda was with the company in 2003 and 2004.
The suit also asks for an injunction prohibiting WWE from subjecting its wrestlers to physical brutality.
The one thing notable is that even with the virtually identical lawsuit, a different set of lawyers is involved with this, Michael McSahen and Jonas Mann of Audet & Partners out of San Francisco.
