The Latest On Nia Jax’s WWE Status, When She Is Expected to Return & Why She’s Been Away From WWE

As we have noted over the past week, WWE Raw star Nia Jax’s status with WWE has been in question, as reports have indicated Jax has taken a “leave of absence” from the company.

Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated furthered this week that Jax taking time away from WWE is due to the grueling schedule, unhappiness with her current creative direction in the company, and her pay scale.

However, according to a new report by Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, reports of Jax’s status with WWE have been “overblown”, as both Jax and WWE are denying she has taken a leave of absence.

WWE has a European tour set to kickoff on November 1st in Glasgow, Scotland, and Nia Jax is expected to be back with the company in time for the tour.

Meltzer added Jax took some time off WWE to rest up, and because she was not factored into any upcoming major story lines. Meltzer noted reports of her requesting a leave of absence, or being unhappy in the company, are untrue. In what appears to be corroboration with Meltzer’s reporting, fellow Raw star Alexa Bliss, who is close friends with Nia Jax, publicly stated to The New York Post this week that reports of Jax’s status with WWE are largely untrue.
