Students Wearing Socks, Shoes Won’t Be Allowed To Appear In Bihar Board Exams. But Is It Enough To Stop Cheating?

Bihar and examination controversies go hand in hand. The 17.70 lakh students of class X in Bihar’s government schools who would sit for their matriculation examinations starting February 21 cannot wear socks and shoes in the examination halls. According to a directive issued by Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), students are allowed to wear slippers as they appear for exams.

This is the first time that such directive, aimed at eliminating the plague of cheating at school and college examinations, has been issued in the state.
