As previously reported, this November’s highly anticipated NXT Takeover event will be headlined by a traditional four-on-four WarGames match, featuring the entire Undisputed Era in action against the incredible yet eclectic team of Ricochet, Pete Dunne and the War Raiders. Four champions. One match.
According to PWInsider.com, two other huge matches have also been confirmed for the event.
NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa will defend his title against The Velveteen Dream in what should be an incredible story. The monstrous Lars Sullivan has been poking his head into their feud for the last few weeks, but it appears that he will not be an official part of their upcoming title bout.
Additionally, Aleister Black and Johnny Gargano will collide in singles competition after it was recently revealed that the mystery attacker who took out Black two months ago, was none other than Johnny Wrestling himself.
There will also be at least one women’s segment on the show, although in order to avoid spoiling the NXT Women’s Championship match at WWE Evolution, they could not shoot anything regarding either women at the last set of television tapings. A match between Candice LeRae and Lacey Evans, or perhaps Nikki Cross has also been teased.
Another match likely, although not confirmed to take place at NXT Takeover would see the former UFC fighter Matt Riddle in his first major match against Kassius Ohno. The self-proclaimed “knockout artist” has been warning NXT GM William Regal for weeks now that he wants first dibs at his new “bro” as soon as he arrives.
