Smeg and Disney have teamed up to sell a $3,500 Mickey Mouse-branded fridge

After the success of Smeg’s collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana, which made headlines around the world, it only makes sense that the brand is back for another round. For those who don’t recall, the Dolce & Gabbana collaboration included $800 toasters, $1000 kettles and $50,000 fridges all adorned with Italian motifs and plenty of vivid colours. Now, it’s all about Mickey Mouse.

The iconic Italian brand has teamed up with Disney to offer the ultimate Mickey product — a fridge adorned with an image of the famous mouse. Marking 70 years of Smeg and 90 years of Disney, the collaboration reimagines the signature ‘Fab’ fridge, created in Smeg’s 1950s style.

Featuring a large ‘True Original’ bespoke drawing of Mickey on the front door reaching for the handle, the fridge remains otherwise simplistic and modern, coming in a snow white finish complete with silver trimmings. An ode not only to the original era, but to Mickey’s timeless appeal.

Retailing for $3,490 via Winnings Appliances, the collaboration is currently available for pre-order, allowing true Mickey Mouse fans to collect what may just be the greatest Disney homewares collaboration to date.
