The Paris hierarchy are still ‘dreaming’ of pairing the 33-year-old Polish striker with Kylian Mbappé in attack, say the sports daily, and Barcelona’s difficulty in agreeing a deal for the player has not gone unnoticed at the Parc des Princes. However, PSG’s leadership know that any deal to sign Lewandowski is dependant on talks between Barcelona and Bayern breaking down with the player keen to sign for the La Liga side.
However, if an opportunity presents itself, Paris plan to make their move for the striker, although convincing Munich to sell to PSG might be tricky. Even so, PSG director Antero Henrique held talks with the player’s agents at the end of last month with new de-facto sporting director Luis Campos keen to sign Lewandowksi too as Barcelona await an answer over their latest bid.
L’Équipe also theorised that Lewandowski’s signing could accelerate Neymar’s exit from the team with Lionel Messi and Mbappé also present.
