After a commanding season marshalling an inexperienced Rennes back line, Moroccan international Aguerd is in talks to move to West Ham United, with an agreement close despite it being held up by disagreements over bonuses with a €35m-€40m deal in the works for the 26-year-old centre-back.

After two successful seasons with Reims, Belgian centre-back Faes is expected to leave the club this summer according to the club’s president. Although Lazio have also been interested in a €10m move for the 24-year-old, Rennes are now also keen to swap Aguerd for Faes with Strasbourg’s Alexander Djiku and Wolves man Romain Saïss, whose contract will soon expire, also being considered.

Talks between the parties are active, say the outlet, with the player’s personal terms being discussed. However, with Roma and Newcastle also monitoring his situation, Faes has made it clear he is looking for game time rather than simply the biggest move possible.
