OGC Nice have announced the depature of Lucien Favre’s deputy at the club, Arjan Peço. Peço arrived at the Ligue 1 side along with Favre in the summer of 2022.
According to a press release published on the club’s official website, Peço parted ways with Nice by mutual agreement. The statement reads:
“OGC Nice and Arjan Peço ended their collaboration on Tuesday by mutual agreement. The former Albanian international, who has been a coach at FC Basel in various categories (U14, U17, U18, U21) for the past decade, arrived at the Gym this summer as assistant coach of the first team.”
“OGC Nice would like to thank him for his investment in the staff led by Lucien Favre, and wish him all the best for the future.”
Following Nice’s 1-0 win over Ajaccio last month, Peço was accused of behaving inappropriately with a receptionist at the hotel where he and the other team members were staying. However, reports have confirmed that Nice did not part ways with Peço as a result of that incident. Instead, Peço has left the club for sporting reasons.
