Lyon have completed the signing of Belgian international defender Jason Denayer from Manchester City.
The 23-year-old Denayer moves to Les Gones on a four-year contract, for a transfer fee amounting to €10m that includes up to €3.5m worth of bonuses.

The defender- who first graduated from Manchester City’s academy in 2014- has not made a first team appearance for Pep Guardiola’s side and has enjoyed various loan periods at Celtic, Sunderland as well as two spells at Galatasaray, where he made 22 appearances last season.
The arrival of Denayer will give Lyon, competitors in this season’s UEFA Champions League campaign, much-needed depth in centre back and defensive midfield areas- both positions the Belgian can fill- not least after the club recently conceded defeat in the pursuit of Colombian defender Yerry Mina to Everton.
Lyon’s Head of Recruitment Florian Maurice underlined Denayer’s qualities that led the club to track the 23-year-old. “Jason is a player we have been following for three seasons now. He has all the characteristics sought by Bruno: versatility because he is able to play all the positions of the defence, intelligence of play, placement, speed, and power in duels”.
