Official | Lyon announce the signing of Martin Terrier

Martin Terrier has been officially announced as the new signing for Lyon following the completion of his move from fellow Ligue 1 club Lille on a four-year-deal, with the fee worth up to €15m.

Terrier had been spending the first six months of the season out on loan at Strasbourg, where he scored three times out of 16 appearances, with most of them coming as a starter. The French U21 international has been known to mix up his style of play, swapping between the main striker and left winger at times this season, with the majority of his goals coming from down the middle.

But Strasbourg won’t be missing out on their man, with Lyon allowing Terrier to see out the rest of his loan move before joining up with OL in July.

“I discovered Martin Terrier last season with Lille and I continued to follow him with Strasbourg this season but with the hope that he would be particularly successful,” said Florian Maurice.

“He is an attacker who has an interesting versatility and an intelligence in the game that has become quite rare. He is powerful, fast, very comfortable technically and very skilful in front of the goal.”
