Though cutouts are one of the biggest trends in the industry right now, the prospect of wearing them for a night out is still a bit daunting. They can be the most flattering accent ever if they fall in the right place. But if they don’t, they’ll have us tugging at our look all evening. And let’s not forget the possibility of revealing way too much.
But as she oft does, Michelle Williams is showing us how to do the sexy detail just right. She wore a cutout LWD showing off just a sliver of skin at the Manchester by the Sea Beverly Hills premiere on Tuesday night, in none other than her favorite fashion brand and one of the most supreme in the world, might we add: Louis Vuitton.

Diamond-accented ear cuffs, black ankle-strap sandals, and a matching black clutch were the actress’s accessories for the night, while her beauty look was as ethereal as her head-turning drapey white dress. Williams was joined by co-star Casey Affleck, best friend Busy Philipps, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and more at the star-studded premiere.

Manchester by the Sea hits theaters Nov. 18, but with awards season around the corner, we know Williams has many more stylish looks up her sleeve. And one thing is for certain: those “sleeves” will most likely be designed by Louis Vuitton. She is the fashion house’s face, after all.
