Mauro Ranallo Documentary Coming, New Network Content, Summer Rae

Mauro Ranallo appeared to be on the way out of WWE last year, but fortunately, the company was able to convince him to stay onboard as a member of the NXT announce team. Ranallo now works in wrestling, boxing, and podcasting while bringing his own unique voice and style to each one of his endeavors. it has just been revealed that Ranallo will also now be the subject of an upcoming documentary on Showtime later this year. The new film will not only cover Mauro Ranallo’s career, but it also promises to dive into the announcer’s long and public battle with bipolar disorder. “Bipolar Rock ‘N Roller” premieres on Showtime on May 25th as part of Mental Health Awareness Month.

During the weekend of WrestleMania, plenty of new programs scheduled to be added to the WWE Network later this year were revealed by WWE. In addition to all of the brand new content that will be coming to the network, it looks like fans can look forward to some classic content being added to the archives as well. According to PWInsider, the company will be uploading episodes from several different classic wrestling programs to the network very soon. The 104 remaining episodes of Mid-Atlantic Wrestling will join the network in May, along with 76 more episodes of Mid-South Wrestling this June, and 50 more episodes of WCW Saturday night in July.

Fans of Summer Rae had been wondering when she would make her in-ring WWE return given that she had been out of action for months. Unfortunately, Rae never came back to WWE and she was released by the company late last year. Rae has mostly remained distant from the wrestling industry ever since her release from WWE, however, she will be competing as Danielle Moinet for her independent wrestling debut on May 25th, 2018. Rae will be involved in a women’s championship tournament at a Battle Championship Wrestling event in Burwood East, Victoria, Australia. As of right now, Summer Rae has not competed in any type of professional wrestling match since 2016.
