Speaking in an interview with RMC, PSG attacker Mauro Icardi discussed fellow forward Edinson Cavani.
“I have known Edi for a very long time. We already played against each other in Italy a long time ago. Edi is an extraordinary player, who has left his mark on PSG’s history. He has done so much here. I came here, I want to bring my contribution, but it will be the manager’s who decides. As a duo, we work for the good of the team. That’s what we say to each other the entire time, both on and off the pitch.”
On if he could play alongside Edinson Cavani in the same XI:
Edi and I, we are two attackers, we like to score goals. We could play together but it is the manager who will decide, it is not up to us to take this decision. We can complement each other on the pitch. But at the end, it is the manager who decides. That’s his job.
