Kevin Owens Staying in WWE, Total Divas Renewed, Edge & Christian

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were both fired in storyline earlier this year, but they were both rehired as members of the Raw brand by Stephanie McMahon last month. It all appears to be water under the bridge now, especially since Owens has just signed a new deal to stay in WWE. Owens recently told TVA Sports that he has re-signed with WWE and will be staying with the company until at least 2023. Kevin Owens will continue to remain a member of the WWE roster for five more years. During that same interview, he also noted that he is proud of what he has been able to accomplish in WWE thus far and would be satisfied with himself if his wrestling career came to an end tomorrow.
Few could have predicted the success that WWE would have by launching a reality show on the E! network. Total Divas has been going strong on the network for several years now, and the younger spinoff show, Total Bellas, is also in good shape at the moment. The backstage drama and fabulous lifestyles of the WWE women’s division will continue to be showcased on the show for several more years to come. WWE just sent out a press release confirming that Total Divas has been renewed for a 8th and 9th season. Season 8 of the reality series will be premiering in the fall of this year, but fans will only have to wait until May 20th to catched the third season of Total Bellas.

?? Major alert, #TotalDivas fans! ?? We’re back for 2 more seasons, starting this fall. Get the inside scoop now. https://t.co/gYfj09DPQQ

It was reported before the Backlash pay-per-view took place last night that quite a number of WWE Legends were backstage in the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. In addition to Kane reportedly being backstage for the show, it was also reported that Christian and WWE Hall of Famer Edge were in attendance as well. Despite these reports, neither Edge nor Christian appeared on the Backlash pay-per-view at all. PWInsider has since updated their original report by reiterating that they were definitely backstage at the show last night, but the former former world champions were strictly backstage to prepare for the production of the upcoming second season of the Edge & Christian Show on the WWE Network.
