IMPACT Wrestling Champion Johnny Impact & Number One Contender “Killer” Kross recently sat down with Wrestling Inc.’s WINCLY podcast. Both men addressed the situation regarding Austin Aries. Aries no-sold the finish to his title loss to Impact at Bound For Glory and walked out on the company. The following transcriptions are via Daniel Yanofsky at Wrestling Inc.
Kross had some stiff words for Aries:
“Whatever Austin did in that match clearly wasn’t enough,” Kross said. “That is not a knock against him either. People win, people lose. I have no idea where he is. We had a mission, and he could not stay the course. That was yesterday, today is today. If he comes back we will see what happens.”
Johnny Impact had a slightly more corporate response, when asked about the Aries situation:
“It is a company call,” Impact stated. “I thought in regards to Austin Aries we are supposed to say very little, and keep our Austin Aries answers very short.”
Kross & Impact are set to battle for Impact’s IMPACT Wrestling World Championship at tonight’s “Final Hour” edition of IMPACT on PopTV.
