New Japan NEVER Openweight Champion Jay White will make his in-ring debut for Impact Wrestling next Thursday alongside Chris Bey against Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers in a non-title match.
White didn’t accept The Elite’s offer to join with them and said they couldn’t rejoin the Bullet Club. Kenny Omega, Don Callis and the Good Brothers came out to confront him and eventually, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows jumped him. Bey, who White had earlier offered to join the Club, then ran out to make the save.
White made a surprise appearance at the end of last Saturday’s Slammiversary and in his Thursday promo, he said he came to Impact for David Finlay ahead of their August 12th match at New Japan’s Resurgence.
Next week’s show will be main evented by Moose vs. Chris Sabin in a Slammiversary rematch that Moose requested.
The show will also feature Violent by Design (Deaner and Rhino) vs. Willie Mack and Rich Swann as VBD blames Mack and Swann for losing their titles at Slammiversary. The faction jumped Mack and Swann Thursday as they were doing a promo.
The BTI pre-show will see Steve Maclin look to remain undefeated as he faces Trey Miguel.
