James Storm re-signed with TNA at the beginning of the year, but he reportedly opted out of the deal over the summer.
Storm tweeted Thursday that he is a free agent as of Thursday (September 15), creating questions over his future.
Storm tested the waters of WWE NXT last year, but he did not reach a contractual agreement before returning to TNA.
Storm reportedly signed a two-year deal with TNA, which included reuniting with Bobby Roode to “have fun again” as Beer Money. However, Roode and another TNA original, Eric Young, left TNA for NXT earlier this year.
Where will Storm end up? Storm has been tweeting regularly about WWE’s product, including recognizing former TNA headliner A.J. Styles winning the WWE World Title on Sunday and former TNA star T.J. Perkins winning WWE’s Cruiserweight Classic on Wednesday.
