Inside Louis Vuitton’s newly-renovated London store

Fours week after Louis Vuitton unveiled its new store in the heart of Perth’s Central Business District, the luxury fashion house has opened the doors to its newly-renovated London boutique, located at 17-20 New Bond Street. For the city store, which underwent 14 months of renovations, two different buildings were combined into one new space, and the location’s exterior was reconstructed by New York-based architect Peter Marino.

Inside, a sweeping double helix-shaped staircase captivates, sculptures welcome shoppers into each space and artworks from the likes of Josh Sperling, Chris Martin and Donald Moffetts catch the eye. An area dedicated to men’s ready to wear and shoes by Louis Vuitton Men’s artistic director Virgil Abloh is located on the lower ground floor, and Nicolas Ghesquière’s women’s collections are showcased in the main salon.

Luxurious private shopping suites are spaced throughout the boutique and inviting custom-made seats, which were also designed Marino, are placed thoughtfully alongside pieces of vintage furniture from designers including Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Paulin and Jean Touret.
