L’Équipe report tonight that Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement with Nice’s Christophe Galtier for the Frenchman to become the new manager of the club, replacing Mauricio Pochettino.
With talks still ongoing between the two clubs over Galtier’s release from the final two years of his contract with les Aiglons – as confirmed by Nasser Al-Khelaifi yesterday – the former Saint-Étienne man has agreed to a two-year contract.

The deal, of which the financial details have not filtered through, will also include an optional third year. Galtier is set to earn less than Mauricio Pochettino did.
The agreement in principle is set to materialise before the end of the week, although the absence of an agreement with Mauricio Pochettino and his staff over their compensation means an official announcement will have to be delayed.
In any case, though, the former Ligue 1 champion with Lille in 2020/21 is now highly likely to become the Argentine’s successor in the capital. Despite reports of talks with Zinédine Zidane, he had been the priority choice of newly-arrived sporting adviser Luis Campos, with the two working together at Les Dogues.
