Ever since August 5, when the Modi government abrogated Article 370 – which gave a special status to Jammu and Kashmir – there have been rumours and speculations about the future of Article 371 – which gives some special provisions to some states, mostly in the North East.
Now Home Minister Amit Shah has put all the speculations to rest and assured the people of the northeast that the government will not touch Article 371.
