Two year’s ago the Cruiserweight Classic brought the highflying style of wrestling back to WWE in a major way and since then there has been plenty of ups and downs for the 205 Live stars, but recent months have certainly seen a big improvement for the show.

Cedric Alexander commented on the anniversary on Twitter claiming he entered the tournament with the intention of getting the world to know his name, now he is leading the brand as champion. Alexander added that he wants to continue to raise the prestige of the championship.

Two years ago I entered the 1st #CWC with the intention to make the world remember my name.

Now I'm the guy leading @WWE205Live as Cruiserweight Champion!

Another of 205 Live’s top stars, Mustafa Ali also commented on that anniversary, stating that he wasn’t even meant to be in the first tournament, now he is the guy laying the groundwork for the show.

I was a backup at the #cwc. An alternate. A replacement. I was eliminated in the first round. I wasn't part of the plan.

Nearly two years later, I'm the guy laying the groundwork for #205Live.
