An iconic high-rise building in Nariman Point, Mumbai which bore the name of India’s national carrier Air India may soon have a new identity.

The Air India Building in Nariman Point is set to be acquired by the Maharashtra government emerged as the highest bidder for the property. The Maharashtra Government has placed a bid of Rs 1,400 crore, Rs 200 crore less than the building’s reserve price to buy the 23-story property.
