Canal+ to broadcast two-game Ligue 1 package following court decision

RMC Sport report that French channel Canal+ has now decided to broadcast its two-game-a-week Ligue 1 package, in the wake of a court decision this afternoon ordering them to respect their contractual commitments.

BeIN sports have taken action against Canal+, to whom they subcontracted the €332m/year deal awarded in 2019, after the latter announced it would pull out in June, with the main package of eight games awarded to Amazon for just €225m.

Although Canal+ will appeal the decision, the management has taken the decision to go ahead and broadcast the games – this includes Saturday’s Troyes-Paris Saint-Germain match.
