Big Slammiversary Rematch Announced for This Week’s Impact Wrestling, Johnny Impact Returns to Television

Slammiversary saw the crowning of a brand new X-Division Champion as Brian Cage was able to surpass the “third eye” of Matt Sydal, continuing his undefeated streak to capture his first title as an Impact Wrestling Superstar.

This Thursday night on Impact television, Sydal will be invoking his contractual rematch cause to get another opportunity at X-Division gold. Also announced for this week’s show is the TV return of John Morrison, who worked his first match back in several months at Slammiversary, facing Taiji Ishimori, Fenix and Petey Williams in an international Fatal 4-Way match.

Both segments will be filmed tonight as a part of Impact’s two-day television taping event at the Rebel Complex in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. ProWrestling.com will have complete spoiler-filled coverage of those tapings later this evening.
