RMC report that Italian side AS Roma have been rebuffed in their efforts to hire Lille manager Christophe Galtier.

The Italian club contacted the former St Étienne coach, who has decided to remain in northern France for next season, wanting to participate in the Champions’ League which ASR cannot offer and most importantly wanting to continue the project in place at Lille.
