AJ Styles provided both good and bad news regarding his current status during a recent Mixer channel video where he discussed his injury.
During the video, AJ Styles confirmed that he has a separated shoulder following the bump he took during the WWE Royal Rumble match. Styles took an inside out bump on a Spear from Edge, landing on his shoulder.
AJ took full responsibility for the injury and put zero blame on Edge, adding that he would like to wrestle him in the future. He then revealed that he was told to get out of the ring in order to be checked on, which is why he was promptly thrown over the top rope by Edge.
In regards to his injury, AJ Styles said that he “doesn’t expect to be out very long” and bets he’ll “be back before they think I’m ready.”
He also added some great news in regards to his WrestleMania 36 status. The former WWE Champion stated that he is “not missing WrestleMania.” Claiming, “I’ll scratch and claw my way there.”
So while it is unfortunate that AJ Styles will be out of action for the foreseeable future, it’s positive that he is confident he can return before April’s big show.
