Today is the day! Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out is taking over Melbourne’s CBD with exclusive one-day-only offers, highly anticipated in-store activations and must-see live performances from 10am to 10pm.
While there is so much to see, do, and shop, there is only so much time to make the most of all that VAEFNO has to offer. So, in an effort to help your plan your fashionable day out, we’ve done the hard work for you and compiled a go-to guide to the event. Now clear your schedules and be sure to enjoy the shopping extravaganza to the fullest.
10:00am: start shopping your way through Melbourne’s CBD from as early as 10am, as each and every participating retailer launches its range of exclusive offers and must-have discounts.
11:30am: before the event officially kicks off, don’t forget to pick up your Bassike x Vogue VAEFNO T-shirt in classic black, which will be available for a limited time at David Jones, and in store at Emporium Melbourne’s Bassike.
4:30pm: Join Vogue Australia’s editor-in-chief Edwina McCann, the Lord Mayor of Melbourne Sally Capp and Melbourne Fashion Week ambassador Adut Akech at the Vogue stage in Little Bourke Street for VAEFNO’s official launch moment. You won’t want to miss it!.
5:00pm: the highly-anticipated launch of the first Vogue VIP Members’ Lounge will take place in Little Bourke Street at 5pm. Vogue subscribers who pre-register to attend and those who subscribe to Vogue VIP on the night will have exclusive access to music performances by Cxloe, entertainment via the Vogue DJ and the chance to see Vogue dance crews take to the stage throughout the night.
5:30pm: if you’ve spent $100 or more at VAEFNO, have your receipts verified by the Vogue team and step up to Vogue’s Spin-to-Win Wheel, where you’re guaranteed to win a prize.
6:00pm: visit the Vogue balloons on Little Bourke Street to track down members of the Vogue team who can point you in the right direction to ensure you discover everything there is to see on the night.
6:15pm: while shopping through Melbourne’s CBD, keep an eye out for the event’s street style photographer who is eager to snap you in your New York street party-themed outfit. Then, keep an eye out on Vogue.com.au, where you may feature!
6:30pm: relax and enjoy a range of special treats when you visit the luxe American Express Lounge, which will be open in Little Bourke Street to all American Express Card Members.
7:00pm: don’t forget to stop by Caledonian Lane to see Melbourne Fashion Week’s Street Runway 1, which will be showcasing a selection of spring/summer styles by the likes of Arnsdorf, Alice McCall and Jac + Jack.
7:15pm: head to the Vogue photo booth, which will be decorated with silver balloons, to snap a picture with your friends before sharing on social media using the new VAEFNO GIFs!
7:30pm: while exploring all the offers available at David Jones, be sure to visit the gumball machine, where David Jones Rewards members will be able to redeem exclusive discounts, gifts and vouchers from the department store.
8:00pm: head back to the Vogue stage to see celebrated Australian singer-songwriter Thandi Phoenix perform one of her most-loved tracks.
8:30pm: stop by the R.M.Williams Hut, to ensure you make the most of exclusive offers on the brand’s iconic boots and leather goods.
9:30pm: take a moment to make sure you’ve experienced everything on offer before the event ends at 10pm.
