News on Impact of WWE/FOX Deal of SD on WrestleMania Weekend

As we all know by now, WWE has already made a deal with FOX that is worth a hefty amount to air SmackDown once the current deal expires. Regarding WrestleMania week, if and when SmackDown does moves to Fridays, this would likely mean that the traditional post-WrestleMania Tuesday show in the same city would be moved to the Friday before. This would then put it head to head against major indie shows who end up running on Friday in the region.
Saturday nights would remain airing the NXT TakeOver show (as well as an ROH show), which means that most – if not all – indie shows would not want to run anything on that day. As a result, it is possible that all the indie shows would then be held on Thursday. The WWE Hall of Fame would likely be moved to either Thursday or Tuesday the week after with Thursday making more sense.
