McIntyre on Why He Went to NXT, WWE Pulls Shirt, Charlotte Update

There are plenty of fans and officials backstage in WWE who see enormous potential in Drew McIntyre. He has been slowly developing as a main event star ever since he returned to the Raw brand earlier this year after competing in NXT the year before. It may have seemed unusual for McIntyre to start off in NXT when he returned to WWE last year, but that is exactly what he himself wanted. During an interview on Lilian Garcia’s Chasing Glory podcast, McIntyre said that he decided to go back to NXT first in order to show off what he can do in the ring before easing back into the main roster. Now that McIntyre has learned a lot and is back on Raw, it may be just a matter of time until he becomes a champion again.
An interesting piece of merchandise recently went up for sale on WWEShop.com as it was a reference to the announcers on Smackdown each Tuesday night. WWE had released a shirt just days ago that featured an image of Corey Graves with the caption “Shut up, Saxton” on it. Unfortunately for fans who may be interested in purchasing a shirt for themselves, Graves has just informed fans that the shirt it now out of stock on WWE’s website, and it will not be coming back any time soon either. There is currently no word on why WWE decided to stop selling the shirts, but Graves does seem optimistic that a new and different piece of merchandise will be released at some point over the next few weeks.

Sorry guys, no #ShutUpSaxton shirt.
Out of my hands. We tried.

Charlotte Flair has barely made any television appearances since losing the Smackdown Women’s Championship to Carmella, and that is because she recently had surgery to repair an injury. Flair was said to have ruptured a breast implant during a match, but Charlotte herself has just revealed that there is a bit more to her injury than originally reported. During an interview on Sirius XM’s Conversations with Maria Menounos, Flair alerted fans that she actually ruptured both breast implants. What began as a sharp pain behind her shoulder blades eventually turned into a much more serious injury that almost put her WrestleMania match this year in jeopardy. Hopefully, it won’t be too much longer until Flair returns to Smackdown.
