Team coached by Italian, Giovanni Guidetti not without obstacles overcame Belgium after tiebreak (14-21, 21-16, 15-21, 21-14, 15-7).
Match was played by new rules, in every set to 21 points, in tiebreak to 15. In third set Guidetti undertook risky decision, changing libero, Dürr was replaced by Thomsen. Best scorer became Margareta Kozuch with 20 points. She became two awards for F4 tournament: best corer and best spiker. Tournament’s MVP became Charlotte Leys, new player of Atom Trefl Sopot.
Other awards got: Denise Hanke (GER, best server), Freya Aelbrecht (BEL, best blocker), Frauke Dirickx (BEL, best setter), Lenka Dürr (GER, best libero) and Mariya Karakasheva (Bulgaria, best receiver). I don’t like these awards, especially for libero (Dürr was substituted) and receiver – the best in this element was Charlotte Leys.
In third place match Bulgaria, host of F4 won with Romania 3-0 (21-16 21-14 21-14), best scorer was Tsvetelina Zharkova with 15 points.
CEV gave awards according to old sytem, so I decided to nominate best team of tournament (news awards system of FIVB)
