Fendi’s pop-up café is the most Instagrammable thing in London right now

For the rest of the European summer (that’s until the end of August for those playing at home), the fifth floor of Harrods in London is playing host to a Fendi pop-up café so chic you’ll feel like you’re sitting in the middle of a Vogue fashion illustration.

Artist Joshua Vides has created an interior that feels like a fashion illustration come to life.

LA-based streetwear designer and street artist Joshua Vides is responsible for the café’s interior, which is both monochrome and Fendi-monogram heavy. The walls, tables, plates and crockery all sport the “FF” logo, as do the cakes and coffees. Even taxis in the area are displaying the distinctive black and white branding.

London cabs operating in the area have been kitted out with Fendi branding.

The Peekaboo Bar adjoining The Fendi Caffe allows customers to create bespoke Peekaboo handbags.

It’s all to celebrate Fendi’s Peekaboo collection of handbags; adjoining the pop-up café is the pop-up Peekaboo Bar, where you can customise your own Peekaboo Mini bag with an array of mix-and-match bodies, handles and straps. Your chances of putting together a one-of-a-kind item are good, as there are more than 20 different bodies, 25 handles (some with glitter finishes) and seven straps to choose from.

In the Peekaboo Bar there are more than 20 different handbag bodies to choose from.

You can also have your own initials monogrammed on a Peekaboo hangbag – the Defender cover comes in a colourful range of satins and can be personalised while you wait.

New versions of Fendi’s Baguette bag on display at the Harrods pop-up.

A sequined new edition of Fendi’s iconic Baguette bag will also be available in the Peekaboo Bar – it has a detachable shoulder strap, meaning it can be carried like a purse or worn across the body (keeping you on-trend for Instagram).

Monogrammed coffees and cookies in the shape of Fendi Peekaboo handbags are available from the café.

If you can’t decide what kind of bag you want on the day, console yourself with a few cookies in the shape of Peekaboo handbags from the café and some Italian comfort food. Every item on the menu is an homage to Fendi’s homeland, including antipasti, insalate, lasagna, aubergine parmagiana and more.

The Fendi Caffe is a must-visit for women in London who like fun fashion with a side of hearty Italian food. Buon appetito.
