Like the rest of Instagram, the Obamas are currently embarking on the Italian leg of their annual European family vacation, but their plans upon are arrival aren’t the regular pasta and spritz. Instead, they’ll be spending time with fellow A-listers and family friends, the Clooneys.

According to The Daily Mail, former president of the United States Barack Obama, former first lady Michelle, and daughters Malia and Sasha will take a private jet to the Italian location, where the itinerary reads a $60,000-a-night villa, and a well-overdue catch-up at the Clooneys’ waterfront Laglio mansion.

As part of the trip, the governor of Laglio has actually set up a 300-foot exclusion zone designed to keep the high-stakes visit a safe one, issuing fines of up to 500 euros to any vessel or vehicle that breaks the rules. As per The Daily Mail, parking lots in the area will be closed, and the nearby Riva Soldino will be off-limits to everyone except local boat owners. Drones in the area are also not allowed.

Their impending arrival is reported to take place Friday night, and it’s understood the Obamas will also attend a charity dinner for The Clooney Foundation for Justice on the Saturday evening.

The Catch-22 actor and former president became close some time ago, and Clooney is no stranger to hosting his incredible friends at his waterfront home – Meghan Markle, Bono, and Brad Pitt to name a few.

The family’s vacation so far has been nothing short of incredible, including stops in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue in France, and days spent shopping, dining in Michelin-starred restaurants, and taking in all the cultural experiences.

If only we could score ourselves an invite.
