Not sure what to buy the woman who has everything? Believe diamonds are a girl’s best friend? Got a Christmas-shopping budget of $163,000? May we suggest the Tiffany &amp Co. advent calendar for 2019 (pictured above and below)? With its hefty $163k price tag, some argue it’s less of a gift, more of a financial flex – but it’s not just the price that’s heavy. The calendar and its accouterments arrive at your front door in a box weighing 160 kilograms, which is then assembled by men wearing white gloves.

When the white-glove brigade is done, you’ll be left with a four-foot tall artist’s interpretation of the Tiffany & Co. store in New York City (the Fifth Avenue one made famous by the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s). The advent calendar is clad in signature Tiffany blue and contains 25 little gems – many of them literal. Diamond jewellery obviously features prominently, but there is also perfume, ornaments and a key ring. Less intuitively, perhaps, is the sterling silver harmonica and clothespin, but hey, 25 is a large number of gifts to think up for one person.
