While details have remained largely unspecific, rumors of backstage heat on WWE Superstar Lio Rush have been going around all week long.
It was reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently that the so-called “Man of the Hour” is incredibly confident and others have noted that he is unafraid to speak his mind on virtually any subject, and being just 24-years-old in a locker room full of veterans, that can rub a lot of people the wrong way.

Fightful.com has a new report that may shed some much-needed light on the situation. According to the website, Rush “would be very lucky to find himself back on the main roster any time soon”, based on multiple incidents, and many within the locker room want him gone.
One of the alleged incidents actually involves the current Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor, likely before he made the jump to Smackdown Live during the Superstar Shake-Up.
Apparently Rush is insistent that his wife travel with him virtually everywhere he goes, while almost everyone else on the roster works the full-time schedule and is only able to see their families a day or two every week. Balor reportedly pulled the young Superstar to the side and attempted to impart some wisdom, telling him that Vince McMahon wouldn’t be happy with his wife being a part of rehearsals and other segments backstage. Rush responded “unfavorably”, and the incident quickly spread around the locker room.
Fightful also made sure to specifically point out that, as far as their contacts are aware, there is no known backstage heat on Rush’s wife specifically.
