True to the spirit of travel inherent to the brand’s DNA, French luxury giant Louis Vuitton unveiled its newly-opened, relocated store in Perth’s Raine Square earlier this week.
Helmed by Nicolas Ghesquière, who designs the brand’s womenswear and Virgil Abloh, who presides over the menswear, the Paris-born brand, founded in 1854, infuses its classic-yet-cool aesthetic in its new Perth location. Modern architectural design informs the store in the new location, with the curated space accented with locally sourced furniture in line with the maison‘s Parisian appeal.
Inside the expansive space, colourful furniture, artworks and contemporary shelving cover the store’s beige carpeted floors and blank-canvas walls, lending a minimal yet interesting context for shoppers to peruse Louis Vuitton’s latest wares.
An edit of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear is available on site, as well as a selection of shoes, watches and jewellery, fragrances, leather goods and accessories, with a selection of pieces from the house’s Objets Nomades collection also available.
The opening of the store coincides with the close of Paris Fashion Week, where Louis Vuitton’s womenswear designer, Ghesquière, just showed the brand’s spring/summer 2020 collection. Inspired by Belle Époque-Paris, Ghesquière returned audiences to decades past; his clothing exhibited influences of Art Nouveau and harked back to the time of the establishment of the house so many years ago.
