Triple H Comments on Punishment Martinez’s Debut, Expects “Big Things”

Punishment Martinez made his NXT debut on December 5. The former Ring of Honor World Television champion stepped into an NXT ring for the first time against Matt Riddle. Martinez brought the pain as always, but he lost the bout.

The King of Bros beat Martinez but that loss likely will not affect the former ROH champ. After all, he did lose to a top NXT star of course and Martinez surely has great things ahead of him.

Triple H happens to agree with that. The Cerebral Assassin took to Twitter and congratulated Martinez on his debut. Hunter put over the big man and made a point to say that he expected big things from Martinez in the future.

Martinez has a great look and brings an undeniable level of intensity to his game. He’s a 14-year veteran of the sport but actually started out as a fighter before he became a pro wrestler. Martinez polished his skills and truly came into his own during his three year stint in Ring of Honor.

Imposing, unrelenting, focused…
