“Switchblade” Jay White was recently interviewed on New Japan Pro Wrestling’s website, where he talked about a variety of topics. One of those topics included the difference between The Bullet Club and his former faction, CHAOS.
“There were conflicting ideas in CHAOS. The way Okada thought things should be done conflicted with how I thought things should be done. In BULLET CLUB, we are all on the same page. We showed that in our matches. I don’t think we’ve lost, I have never lost to anybody especially on the last tour. 7 wins in a row against Okada and Tanahashi, that shows we are on the same page.”

White also talked about his history with Bullet Club’s Underboss, Bad Luck Fale. How instrumental was Fale in White’s decision to turn on CHAOS and join The.Bullet Club?
“It just made it easier for that conversation to happen for me to join BULLET CLUB this time because we did have that history. So there has always been that background between us. It made a lot easier for us to talk about and come up with what we did at King of Pro-Wrestling. You know, none of this was because of that, but it certainly made it a lot easier because we knew each other prior to coming to New Japan.”
White is obviously in character during this interview but it’s all being done to promote New Japan’s upcoming Wrestle Kingdom 13 event on January 4. Wrestle Kingdom is the biggest night of the year for New Japan and that will certainly be true for the 2019 edition.
Jay White will face Kazuchika Okada at Wrestle.Kingdom 13 in a bout that is essentially a grudge match. White’s new role as Bullet Club leader has given him a massive amount of stroke and swagger that he’s never had before. His betrayal of CHAOS made him New Japan’s biggest heel of 2018.
